What a great day at the LMS Sea Life Festival ! Despite the cloudy skies earlier in the day, the weather down on the water was perfect and the number of families that showed up to view all those slimy sea creatures was amazing ! And how could you go wrong with adding free hotdogs, juice and chips to those kid’s day :)

What a great day at the LMS Sea Life Festival ! Despite the cloudy skies earlier in the day, the weather down on the water was perfect and the number of families that showed up to view all those slimy sea creatures was amazing ! And how could you go wrong with adding free hotdogs, juice and chips to those kid’s day :)
Many thanks to all all who were able to come down and spend a bit of time helping cook and serve hotdogs, and dole out the buns, juice and chips. Keeping accurate records of the free dogs going out while also handing out those important wet wipes to the children after they touched the creatures and before they ate their lunch was done well, too. To those who kept in the back but also kept the supplies coming to the table...awesome job !
The receipts for purchases and credit for returns still need to be entered, but it looks like Rotary made around $500 today. I have sent Shirley our numbers of 143 children and 24 volunteers fed. We also sold 47 hotdogs to the public. Though this was one of our easier fundraiser, it came at a busy time for us. Thanks Ken and the community service crew for organizing this for us.
